DASH is an independent local charity whose mission is to improve the quality of life of adults of working age with Aspergers and other high functioning Autistic Spectrum Conditions living in Swindon.

Our primary aims are to:

  • Raise awareness of Aspergers;

  • Promote and enhance access to assessment and diagnosis, post diagnosis support, welfare and care, housing, education and employment;

  • Research, promote and help to deliver a local model of support and services.

In this way we will help people with Aspergers Syndrome to enjoy safer, healthier, more sociable, more productive and happier lives.

  • The website has experienced some technical difficulties lately but is now up and running again. Please bear with us while we begin the process of updating information.
  • ***STOP PRESS*** DASH has secured funding for an improved Information & Advice Service from The Big Lottery. This secures the service for the next three years. Our thanks go to everyone at the Big Lottery and all those who have helped and supported us through the application process. The new service will be known as Autism Matters and the new service leaflet is available on our Resources and Links page.
  • The Tuesday 'walk-in' service will continue from 2pm-4pm. No appointment is necessary. For those unable to attend on Tuesdays, or those who would prefer to arrange an appointment, please contact us at contactdashswindon@gmail.com or phone 07554 665715.
  • EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - DASH is looking for a Social Group Facilitator to help run the Men's Group. The group meets every other Wednesday for social and practical activities. Previous experience of working with adults on the autistic spectrum is not essential; we are looking for someone who can demonstrate listening and observation skills, show patience and tact when dealing with groups and want to stimulate and encourage social interaction amongst a group of adults on the higher end of the autistic spectrum. Details and an application are available at the links below.

Bluebell 10k for autism awareness 2017
  • The DASH bluebell 10k held on 14th May 2017 was a great success. Another beautiful Sunday saw hundreds of runners and walkers take in the sights of the bluebell woods and the lovely wooded area of Coate Water. Thank you to everyone who came along; we hope you had a very enjoyable Sunday meeting. Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers, marshalls, route markers and organisers who helped the event run smoothly.
